Outreach and Drop In Centre

Outreach Drop in Centre (ODIC) Imphal East was established in October 2019 and is located at Khurai Thangjam Leikai Imphal East, Manipur-795010, with its project area covering the whole district of Imphal East and its sponsored by National Institute of Social Defense (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and implemented by Integrated Women and Children Development Centre (IWCDC) Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai, Imphal West, Manipur. The Outreach and Drop-in Centre (ODIC) is a community’s based intervention designed to address substance abuse among vulnerable populations, particularly youth. It serves as a safe, accessible, and non-judgmental space where individuals can seek support, basic services, and guidance related to drug use and associated health issues.

ODIC plays a crucial role in early identification, harm reduction, and linking individuals to appropriate treatment and rehabilitation services. Since inception, ODIC has given services to 1315 clients.

Objective of ODIC :

To Identify and reach out to individuals at risk of substance abuse through community outreach.
To provide safe and secure drop in space for drug users in community having the provision of screening, assessment and counselling.
To reduce the harmful effects of substance use through harm reduction strategies.
To motivate and refer clients for treatment, counselling and rehabilitation services for drug dependents.
To promote awareness on drug abuse, HIV/AIDS, and healthy lifestyles.
